Creepytamen: The literary contest that will immerse you in the world of creepypastas

Do you have a passion for horror stories and are you looking for stories that awaken your deepest fears? Then Creepytamen is your chance to bring your most chilling ideas to life.

🕷️ What are creepypastas?

Creepypastas are short horror stories that have found a home on the Internet. These stories often play with urban legends, mysterious characters and disturbing situations that seek to strike fear into the hearts of those who read them. From icons such as Slenderman to tales of cursed video games, creepypastas are a phenomenon of digital culture that combines the macabre with the viral.

What makes this genre unique is its ability to spread fear through the everyday. A song, a web page, a blurry photo... anything can become the start of a disturbing story. At Creepytamen, we want to know what's in your imagination and how you can use it to make our blood run cold.

📜 Basis

If you are ready to scare everyone with your words, these are the rules you must follow to participate in Creepytamen!

1. Subject matter

• Stories must belong to the genre creepypasta, The film is, of course, full of elements of mystery, suspense, urban legends and unexplained phenomena.
• Originality, creativity and the ability to generate concern in the reader will be valued.

2. Participants

• Writers over the age of 16 of any nationality may participate.
• Each participant may send a single creepypasta.

3. Format of the works

• Extension: 5 to 15 pages.
• Language: Spanish-English.
• Format: Document in .doc, .docx or .pdf format.
• Source: Arial, size 12, 1.5 line spacing.
• The work must be unpublished, i.e. it must not have been published in any physical or digital medium or be participating in another competition.

4. Submission of stories

• Creepyastas should be submitted using the form below.
• The following data should be included in the form:
  • Author's full name.
  • Pseudonym (if applicable).
  • Age.
  • Country of residence.
  • E-mail.

5. Delivery time

• The call will be open from 16/01/2025 to 14/02/2025.
• Late submissions will not be considered.

6. Jury and selection of winners

• From 14/02/2025 and within two days, all the stories will be published on this page. There will be two weeks for voting. The 20 most voted will go to the final phase of the jury.
• The jury will be made up of literary experts and lovers of the horror genre.
• The evaluation criteria will be: originality, impact, narrative style and literary quality.
• The following will be selected 12 winners and, if deemed necessary, special mentions. The winners will be published in Infinity Ideas Studio.

7. Awards

• First place:In addition to the above, it will be published in the Infinity Ideas magazine and €100 in cash..
• Finalists: They will be published together with the winner, in a single work edited and typeset by Infinity Ideas.
• Everyone will receive a digital certificate of participation and the work published in ebook format.

8. Copyright

• The copyright remains with the writer at all times.
• However, the winning stories may be published on our platforms with due credit to the author, through traditional publication.

9. Acceptance of the rules

• Participation in the competition implies acceptance of these rules in their entirety.
• Any situation not foreseen in these rules will be resolved by the organisers of the competition.
